Suzanne Burrows

Suzanne Burrows passed away at home in Caney, Kansas on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15th at Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Reciting of the Rosary will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 16th at 9:30am with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney, Kansas.

Suzi was born to Gerald and Marie Doye' Moser in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on August 29, 1928. She attended the Bartlesville schools until the 8th grade. Her high school years were spent in Paola, Kansas studying under the Ursula Sisters. After high school she worked briefly for Philips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Wichita, Kansas. While in Wichita, she met and married Joe Harr. Mr. Harr worked in the oil business, Suzi a home maker. The two loved to travel, they travelled throughout Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Kansas. Through the years, Suzi and Joe welcomed 4 children, Hank, Ricky, Stephen and Maria. Suzi and her children moved to Copan, Oklahoma to the family farm in 1956 where she made their home. She later met and married Everett Burrows in November of 1965. The family moved to Caney where she has lived until her death.

She is survived by a son, Henry "Hank" Harr, daughter Susan Marie Ullrich, son in-law, Scott, two grandchildren, Troy Ullrich, Clint Ullrich and three step daughters Glenda Nelson, Carol Daniels and Lori Ann Cox, and their families.

She is preceded in death by her husband Everett, her parents and two children, Ricky Harr and Stephen Harr. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, a memorial be made in Suzi's name to the "Safari Zoological Park" in Caney, Kansas. Memorials may be left with Potts Chapel.
