Kim Holley

Dale Holley was born May 26th, 1934, in Clinton, Arkansas to Kim David Holley and Augie Holley.  He married Jean Holley on April 17, 1953 in Denard, AR.  The couple made their home in Kansas where they welcomed four children; Ronnie, Randy, Kim, and Gina.

Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, chipping arrowheads, reading Louie L’amour books, and was an avid gun collector.  If you know Dale, then you know that his faith based t-shirt collection was something to marvel at.

Dale was an airplane mechanic for Bowing where he traveled as far as Guam, and to  many other places in the United States.  He later moved to Caney, KS and served as a Police Officer for the City of Caney. In his later years Dale joined John Deere as a machinist, where he held this position until his retirement.

After retirement Dale and Jean spent their winters in Arizona where he became a “Rock Hound” who collected rocks to make beautiful jewelry for friends and family. He also spent his leisure time golfing, fishing and hunting.

Dale was a member of the Crosspoint Southern Baptist Church until his passing. His life was evidence of his love for Christ and his family.

In addition to his wife Jean, survivors include his son Ronnie Holley and wife Kim of Tyro, KS, son Randy Holley of Skytook, OK, daughter Kim Brewer and husband David of Pittsburg, KS, daughter Gina Dixon of Pittsburg, KS, five grandchildren, Monica, Kodey, Brandy, Barry, and Tiffany, as well as twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Augie and Kim, brother Tom, sister Veta Jo, granddaughter Mandy, grandson Richard, and son-in-law Barry.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Dale’s name to “The Journey Home” where Dale received such amazing care in his final days. Donations can be mailed to Journey Homes 900 NE Washington Blvd.  Bartlesville, OK 74006. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cross Point Baptist Church in Caney on Saturday, October 31st at 10:30 AM.
