Janet Dickerson

Janet Carole Dickerson, 87 of Caney, Kansas passed away peacefully at Medicalodges in Coffeyville with the guiding hands of Kindred Hospice on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Janet was born on July 13, 1935 in Marion, Kansas to James and Verna Harris. She was the first born of their 7 children.

Janet was a person of many talents, she was a cosmetologist, cook, loved baking, crocheting, knitting, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, and she looked forward to playing her Yahtzee.

She is survived by her children, Rocky Gordon, Donna Gordon, Lisa Gordon, Karen (Jimmy) Brown, Mike Gordon, 3 sisters, Sue Harris, Jeanne Sleeth, and Peggy (Sam) Sampson, one brother, Dick (Bonnie) Harris, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, son, Jimmy Dale, daughter, Cindy, sister, Pat and brother, Jim.

She has many nieces, nephews, friends, and family that will cherish her memories.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel. The family plans to hold a private family graveside service at a later date.
