Frank Wahl

Frank Curtis Wahl (90) of Caney, KS, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Frank was born November 4, 1929 to William and Lillie Wahl of Okeene, OK.

On August 15, 1952 he married Donna Nickel of Fairview, OK. He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea. The family moved to Denver, CO and Frank became a machinist and eventually opened his own shop which he ran a successful business for 35 years. After retiring, he moved to Caney and purchased a home near the Zoo. He joined the Caney Valley Antique Power Association (CVAPA) aka “the tractor club” located just north of Caney and helped build it to a successful club where like minded people could gather and stretch the truth about how good their tractors are.

He was great at everything, could build anything, and liked to help others.

Family was most important to Frank and particularly in beating them at cards (3-13) or dominoes. He enjoyed hunting and especially fishing.

Preceded in death by his siblings; Marvin Wahl of Denver, CO, George Wahl of Skykomish, WA, Hanna Rowe of Fairview, OK, Elma Tucker of Ontario, OR and Ruth Wahl of Okeene, OK.

Frank is survived by his wife; Donna M Wahl of Caney, sister; Pearl Wahl of Fruitland, ID and his children and their spouses; Doug & Zoe Wahl of Caney, Susan & John Poulos of Paonia, CO, Sandi & Rick Graham of Caney, and Steve & Donna Wahl of Florrisant, CO and his grandchildren; Tasmin, Marshall, Alissa, Stacey, Nicole, Toni, Adam, Patrick, Laci and Amanda and 18 great grandchildren.

Frank has been cremated and a “Celebration of Life Party” will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 5-8PM at the CVAPA.
