Donald Pinegar

November 2, 1937 — April 14, 2021

Donald Eugene Pinegar departed this earth on April 14, 2021 to be with his Heavenly Father. Visitation will be held at Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas on Sunday, April 18th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Graveside services will take place at Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge, Kansas on Monday, April 19th at 2:00 pm.

Donald Eugene Pinegar was born November 2, 1937 at Blackwell, Oklahoma to Edgar Dewy Pinegar and Leona Faye Pinegar. Donald graduated Welda High School in 1955, then attended Iola Junior College and then served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1962. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the Air Force Donald began a career as a pipeline welder with City Service gas Company. Donald’s passion was providing for his family as well as being an avid hunter and fisherman. Throughout Donald’s life he provided an abundance of fish for many family reunions fish fry’s. Anyone who visited Don usually left with a “mess” of frozen fish and a few fish stories.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Leona (Day) Pinegar, and brother, Darrell Pinegar.

He is survived by, one son, Danny Pinegar of Muskogee, OK, three daughters, Marva Dennis of Oklahoma City, OK, Diana Wilson of Tonganoxie, KS and Tina Burris of Tyro, KS, one brother, Gale Pinegar of Lawrence, KS, one sister, Beverly Day of Richfield, MN, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a very special friend, Mary Rowley.
