Diana Sue (Cassity Garton) Combs was born on November 16, 1946 to Clinton Claude Cassity and Edith Lucille (Williams) Cassity in Caney, KS. She passed away December 12, 2020 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital South in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Diana grew up and went to school in Caney, Kansas, Riverton, Wyoming and Greeley, Colorado. In 1964, she graduated from Greeley Central High School.

After high school, she married Dennis Garton and they had two sons, Scott Eugene and Jeffrey Lynn. They later divorced.

Diana enjoyed crocheting like her mother, quilting & sewing and enjoyed spending time with her sister, Janice.  She enjoyed caring for and helping others and went to great efforts to do so. She loved Christmas & giving gifts to her family that she had made. She enjoyed reading books on her Kindle and did so much love giving to others. She had a beautiful heart and smile & brightened the lives she touched. Diana worked hard painted houses for several years, was a homemaker and then when her sons were grown, she went to work at Town and Country Supermarket in Caney, KS.

She later married Thomas H. Combs, Sr. on December 12, 2014 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They traveled and enjoyed going to the casinos together. She would go with Thomas to play bingo and was a former member of the American Legion Women’s auxiliary in Shawnee, Oklahoma Post 16.

She is survived by Thomas Combs Sr. of the home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Her son Scott Garton, wife Lori, (Edna, Kansas). Their son, Timothy’s children (Tucker, Traxsyn, and Tynlee), Jordan (Brandon, Florida), Tyler, his son Brayden, (Bartlesville, Oklahoma), Zane, and daughter Courtney (Chuckie Morris), (Edna, Kansas) and baby Mayleigh Jo, and daughter McKenzie. Her son, Jeff Garton, wife Liz, (Caney, Kansas). Their daughter Kaila (Greg) Covert, (Bartlesville, Oklahoma) and children Timberly & Cheston.  Their son Seth (Robin) Garton, (Tyro, Kansas) and children Hudson, Grayson, Teagan, Nolan, & Averi.  Son Michael Combs, wife Diana, (Altus Oklahoma) and son Justin (Guthrie Oklahoma). Son Thomas Combs Jr. (Shawnee Oklahoma). Daughter Penny Berry, husband Tim, (Kearney, Missouri) and two daughters Kelly Jackson and husband Kevin, Kristy Darby and husband Matthew, one grandchild Emily. Daughter Debra Biddy, husband Rodney (Blair, Oklahoma), two sons Quentin Biddy and wife Stacey. Children Nickolas and Jewel (Longmont Colorado). Richard Biddy “Ricky”, wife Sarah (Blair, Oklahoma), children Alexander, Abigail, Emilynn, Peter, and Grace. Daughter Diana Combs, (Harrisonville, Missouri). Her two sons Jason Snook and Benjamin Snook, wife Brittney, grandchildren Austin, Cole, Tucker, Kale, and granddaughter “Charlie” Charlene, and Bristol. Daughter Amy Combs, (Harrisonville Missouri), her son Hunter Johnson, wife Jessica and two children Addie & Hazel. Daughter Tammy Bonnell, husband Brad (Moore, Oklahoma). Her sons Aaron, Caleb, and Jacob.

Sister, Janice Mayo (Bartlesville, Oklahoma) and her son Kenny (Hutchinson, Kansas). His children, Colin, Preston, and Anderson. Brother, Doug Cassity, wife Deb (Owatonna, Minnesota), his son Clint (Sheena), and daughter Destiny and son, Kyle (Angela) and children Owen & Ariana. Sister in law, Carole Cassity and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents, grandson Timothy Garton, and brothers Ronald Cassity and Larry Cassity.

Visitation will be held at Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas on Tuesday, December 15th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A celebration of Diana’s life will take place at Potts Chapel in Caney on Wednesday, December 16th at 2:00 pm with interment immediately following at Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney.
