Connie (Banion) Newkirk

Connie Jean (Banion) Newkirk passed away July 19th, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, July 27th, 2021 at Potts Chapel in Caney Kansas at 11:00am. Burial will follow at the Havana Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 26th 1:00pm-7:00pm, with the family greeting friends 5-7pm at Potts Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the First Assembly of God Church of Caney, Kansas.

Connie was born on August 15th, 1943 to George Wayne and Bonnie Jean (Mott) Doub. On January 8th, 1965 she was united in marriage to William “Pat” Banion. He preceded her in death on October 17th, 2014. On June 18th, 2015 she was united in marriage to Allan Newkirk. He survives of the home in Havana, Kansas.

She worked at Automotive Controls, K-Mart and Wal-Mart until her retirement. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Independence, Kansas.

Connie is survived be her husband, Alan of Havana, KS., son William “Kevin” (Stacy) Banion of Independence, KS., daughter Gina (Kevin) Clubine of Havana, KS., grandchildren: Tyler Clubine, Trenton Clubine, Mark Debo, Matthew Debo and Malarie Thompson, step-sons: Delane (Teressa) Newkirk, Bruce (Sharla) Newkirk, step-daughter Stephannie (Gary) Zorn, 12 step-grandchildren, sister-in-law Linda Doub, sisters: Cheryl (Marvin) Thompson, DeeAnn (Alan) Shouse and Terri Burris.

Preceding her in death are her parents and brother Dannie Doub.
