BERNICE VIRGINIA ROE


Bernice Virginia Roe, age 95 of Caney, Kansas passed away, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan, Kansas.

Bernice was born June 8, 1922 to Frank and Nora Francis (Baugh) Brown in St. Francis, Kansas where she grew up. On September 17, 1942 Bernice married Max Roe in St. Francis, Kansas. The couple moved to Commerce City, Colorado in 1964. Bernice worked for Cudahy Packing House in Denver, Colorado and was a homemaker. She loved to cook, keep a clean house, dance and was an amazing grandma.

Survivors include her husband Max of the home; two grandsons Danial F. Roe and Thomas Roe; two great grandchildren Logan Thomas Roe of Denver, Colorado and Danialle Elizabeth Roe of Ft. Lupton, Colorado; one granddaughter Kathleen Carr of Freehold, New Jersey; daughter in law Nancy Roe of Caney, Kansas.

Bernice was preceded in death by two sons Darrel and Dallas Roe; four sisters Elnore Brown, Edith Brown, Francis Borwn and Drussil Brown; the brothers Lyle Brown, Arthur Brown and Alvis Brown.

Reciting of the Rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caney, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Father Dan Loimer officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel. Friends may leave online condolences at www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
